What we do�

We are a full service consumer products company that develops, manufactures, markets and sells diverse high volume innovative products for use around the home. We completely rethink and redesign basic concepts making them better. Particular emphasis is on functional and design innovations.  We give them more perceived value through better function, better design as well as better or more realistic pricing for higher potential volume.  In short, we offer better things to our customers.

Who we are�

The principals of the company are seasoned,  (sounds like a young guy�s resume lingo)- multi-disciplined professionals who have worked in senior positions in their industries, including extensive experiences in Far East product development and management since 1978. They are well disciplined in design, engineering, manufacturing, marketing, advertising, sales and general management.

Harvey A. Katz

Has a solid 24-year experience in Far East product development with a background in sales and marketing.  He has successfully grown many companies through the development of innovative product lines, propriety-patented products and licensing acquisitions. Harvey started his career with JCPenny Co. buying and merchandising consumer products. He has held senior marketing and product development positions with leading toy, entertainment and consumer products companies and as been responsible for marketing of  world-class brands for these companies before starting his own company in 1996. Harvey and Marvin have worked together since 1989 and have joined force in the establishment of Better Things LLC.

Marvin Smollar:  

A successful entrepreneur who has worked in the consumer product area since 1978 after leaving his patent law practice to joint venture a toy company with a Hong Kong manufacturer. The venture went public on the NYSE in 1982.  Subsequently, he founded his own toy company which he later sold to a public company, serving then as it president for a period years.  Experienced and active in all phases of the business he has managed both domestic and Far East companies. He has also created many innovative products and is the holder of a number of patents on commercially successful products.  Better Things is his newest consumer products venture.
